RevCom: PJS to Revise DOE-STD-1189-20XX, Integration of Safety into the Design Process
The revision to the Standard will incorporate best practices and lessons learned from implementation and use of this Standard since it was first revised in 2016. This update will preserve and build upon the fundamental philosophy and approach of the current Standard. The suggested changes listed below are based on a “Listening Tour” of subject matter experts throughout the complex with experience in applying the Standard to determinations and implementation of major modifications.
