RevCom: PJS to Revise DOE STD-1047-2008, Safety Functions and Other Features of the Remotely Operated Weapons System
This revision will include changes to technology, manufacturing, and agency needs that have progressed since the original standard was published in 2008. This update will address the design, performance, safety, and reliability of the Remotely Operated Weapons System (ROWS) within the Department and help communicate a common set of requirements to vendors of these systems. The updated standard will also:
• Make language consistent with current weapons systems, procedures, and eliminate dated terms and definitions.
• Define expectations of obtaining and using weapons systems by DOE/NNSA.
