RevCom: New PJS to develop DOE-HDBK-1243-YR, DOE Laser Safety Handbook

This new handbook applies to all specialized lasers and work practices, with an emphasis on work and systems that are not completely covered or addressed by existing regulations, nationally-recognized consensus standards, industry best practices, and consistency of how the Department of Energy (DOE) Enterprise is managing Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reporting recommendations by providing consistency or suggestions of examples of how to organize these efforts. This handbook serves as a laser safety resource for use across DOE when evaluating existing and planned laser safety programs and when developing or revising a laser safety programs.
