DOE-STD-1213-2014 Chg Notice 2, Protective Force Contingency Planning Technical Standard

In light of the events of September 11, 2001, and subsequent international terrorism events, it is even more vital than before to ensure national security interests and departmental personnel are well protected. Emergency situations stemming from natural or man-made disasters, including terrorist activities, may require the establishment and deployment of a contingency protective force (CPF) and the sustained conduct of operations. This Technical Standard has been developed to support the continued safe and secure operation of Department of Energy (DOE) sites and facilities, including National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) sites and facilities, and the protection of Departmental employees, including NNSA employees, contractor employees, and the public under such adverse conditions.
