The Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Functional Area Qualification Standard (FAQS) establishes common functional are competency requirements for all DOE I&C personnel who provide assistance, direction, guidance, oversight, or evaluation of contractor technical activities that impact the safe operation of DOE's defense nuclear facilities.
