PJS-1196-2011, Notice of Intent to Revise Department of Energy Standard 1196, Derived Concentration Technical Standard

DOE-STD-1196-2011, Derived Concentration Technical Standard, issued in 2011, is being revised to be in line with the AU strategic goal of fostering Department-wide excellence in performance by updating current information and incorporating new data that will reflect up-to-date science, good practices and current standards. The standard complements DOE O 458.1, Radiation Protection of the Public and the Environment by providing derived concentration standard (DCS) values and dose coefficients used in dose assessment calculations to ensure the protection of the public and the environment from radiological activities at DOE sites.
